Kalk Bay Shootout 2026 Opening Function

Join the Kalk Bay BoardRiders on 31 May from 3pm–7pm at The Reef Restaurant in Kalk Bay for our official opening function — no cover charge.

New competitor lists will be drawn up on the day, so put your name down if you fancy your chances. This event is open to Surfers, Bodyboarders and Kneeboarders. We welcome men, women, groms, and even the grumpiest local legends for a full day of fun in the car park and out in the lineup.

Divisions

Family Division
A single heat, winner-takes-all format aimed at social surfers, locals, and anyone chasing good vibes and fun competition.

Pro Division
A knockout format where riders battle it out for podium positions, with the top rider for the day claiming the honours. This is a shootout — no podium for second place, only one winner counts.
