South African Bodyboarding Championships 2026

The South African Bodyboarding Championships return to Cape Town for the first time since 2018, with five days of elite competition set to hit the West Coast from 28 September – 2 October 2026.

Hosted by the Cape Town Bodyboarding Association, SA Champs 2026 will bring together the country’s top riders across junior, women’s, open, and masters divisions.

The event will run along the Melkbosstrand–Bloubergstrand coastline, known for its consistent swell, punchy beach breaks, and iconic Table Mountain backdrop.

Alongside the action in the water, the event promises a vibrant beachfront atmosphere with opportunities for local businesses, sponsors, and the wider surf community to get involved.

Expect powerful waves, elite talent, and an unforgettable week of South African bodyboarding on the West Coast.
