The awards acknowledge a year of dedication, progression, sportsmanship, and high-level competition across all age groups and divisions. From the next generation of young talent to experienced veterans, the 2026 season showcased the depth and strength of bodyboarding within Cape Town.

The association also extended its gratitude to the parents, volunteers, judges, sponsors, supporters, and committee members whose dedication continues to strengthen the sport and create opportunities for athletes of all ages.

As the season concludes, CTBA looks forward to supporting its athletes as they prepare to represent the province at the upcoming South African Bodyboarding Championships.

Following a successful season, CTBA has selected a strong team to compete at the South African Bodyboarding Championships. The squad features a blend of established competitors and emerging talent, highlighting the continued growth of the sport within the region.

Among the selected athletes are Division Champions Remy Zaroony, Max Labuschagne, Taylor Tredoux, Nathan Watkins, Lennie Muller, Rob Peet and Chad Brookstein, who will be aiming to convert provincial success into national titles.

The championship, hosted by Cape Town Bodyboarding, will bring together the country’s top riders for five days of competition across all divisions and is expected to be one of the premier events on the South African bodyboarding calendar.

CTBA extends its gratitude to its committee, volunteers, supporters, sponsors, families, and athletes whose contributions continue to strengthen and grow the sport in Cape Town.

As preparations begin for SA Champs 2026, the association looks forward to supporting Team Cape Town in their pursuit of national honours and celebrating another successful year of bodyboarding excellence.
